Julia was awarded a full scholarship to the Sydney Conservatorium, studying piano with Alexander Sverjensky and Nancy Salas and violin with Eva Kelly. She is one of Sydney's busiest and most versatile pianists, accompanying for National Music Camps, the Fairfax Young Artist Program, and ABC and 2MBS FM recitals. For many years Julia taught piano and accompanied at Abbotsleigh School. She also conducted the school's senior string ensemble, achieving great success in eisteddfods and competitions. Julia regularly performs on cruiseships, with a string quartet, throughout the pacific region.  She is currently accompanist at Knox Grammar School.
