Jennifer Yeh Bassoon

Jennifer performed in our Western Tour in October 2011.
Jennifer Yeh graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with a Bachelor of Music degree in 2001. By this time, she has toured and performed in many parts of the world including Russia, China, Spain, Italy and Argentina with both the SBS Television and Radio Youth Orchestra and the Sydney Conservatorium Chamber Orchestra. She then went abroad to the United States where she obtained her Masters of Music degree at the New England Conservatory. She was the winner of the 2005 Mozart Concerto Competition held at NEC.

Her principal teachers include Sydney Symphony's long-time Principal Bassoon John Cran, Boston Symphony's Contrabassoon Gregg Henegar, and the present Sydney Symphony Principal Bassoon Matthew Wilkie.

Currently, Jennifer is a freelance musician in Sydney, actively playing in orchestras and chamber music ensembles around Sydney. She has been teaching for several years at various schools including MLC and Abbotsleigh.
